Declared interests, plainly stated.

The founder of the OUBAS Institute is a party to litigation published in the Court Records section, and is the author of books sold on this platform that deal with the same subject matter. OUBAS is therefore not a neutral observer of those matters and does not present itself as one. The records are published so that readers can assess the documents for themselves rather than accept our account of them.

• Book sales. A purchase of a digital edition. It buys a book and nothing else — no membership, no legal service, no interest in any matter.
• AAP membership dues. An annual subscription to a professional network. It funds the network's operation and confers no ownership of OUBAS and no entitlement to any litigation outcome.
• Donations. Donations linked from this site go to Black African Child, a separate initiative. They are not OUBAS revenue and are not used to fund litigation.

No payment on this platform is a contribution to legal costs, an investment, or a share in any recovery. Prices are listed on the pricing page and the refund policy applies to every sale.

No published record, episode or research entry is added, amended or removed in exchange for payment, membership status, sponsorship or advertising. Purchasing a book or a membership does not buy editorial treatment, and declining to purchase does not attract any.

AAP members and other authors may apply to sell their own digital books and products through OUBAS, subject to approval. Approval is an administrative and quality decision, not an endorsement of the content, and the following conditions apply:

• — The seller warrants that they hold all rights in the work and that it does not infringe copyright.
• — The seller is responsible for the accuracy of the work and indemnifies OUBAS against claims arising from it.
• — Work naming identifiable persons must meet the same evidence standard OUBAS applies to itself.
• — Each listing shows the seller's identity; the buyer always knows who they are buying from.
• — Revenue share, payout terms and the refund route are agreed in writing before a listing goes live.
• — OUBAS may decline or delist a work that is unlawful, unverifiable or outside the institute's purpose, and will give reasons.
