Effective date: 12 August 2026
The OUBAS Institute respects the privacy of visitors, learners, researchers, and contributors. Personal information submitted through this website — including contact enquiries, subscriptions, and Public Experience submissions — is processed only for the purposes for which it was provided.
Who controls your information
The website operator and data controller is Mbuso Dlamini, trading as OUBAS Institute, a sole proprietorship based in Johannesburg, Republic of South Africa, at 30 Springhill Road, River Club Ext 24, Sandton, Johannesburg, Gauteng 2149, Republic of South Africa. Privacy enquiries may be sent to enquiries@oubas.org.
What we collect
Contact details, submission content, supporting documents, and standard technical information (such as pages viewed and general location) used to maintain the platform.
How we use it
To respond to enquiries; to moderate and, where approved, publish Public Experience submissions; to deliver academy programming; and to communicate institutional updates when subscribed.
Payments and payment data
Purchases on this website are processed by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the Merchant of Record and as an independent data controller for payment transactions. When you buy a publication, membership, or film access, Paddle collects and processes the details needed to take payment — including your name, email address, billing country and address, and card or wallet details. OUBAS never receives or stores your full payment card details. We receive only the transaction reference, the item purchased, the amount, and the email address used, so that we can deliver your purchase and provide support. Paddle's handling of your data is described in the Paddle privacy notice.
Retention & rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information at any time by writing to enquiries@oubas.org. Records of completed transactions are retained for the period required by tax and accounting law.
